Chigozie Nweke-Eze

Chigozie Nweke-Eze is an Associate Research Fellow (Energy Economics, Trade and Investment) at the OGEES Institute. At OGEES, he conducts research on economic analyses of infrastructure development and sustainable governance of natural resources in Nigeria.
In addition to his position at the OGEES Institute, he is also a Research Associate at the University of Bonn, Germany, where he is part of the Future Rural Africa research project funded by the prestigious German Research Foundation (DFG). He also serves as a Research Fellow at the Energy for Growth Hub, Washington D.C, and the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA), Nigeria. In these capacities, his research seeks to understand the financing, governance and geographies of energy and infrastructure systems in Africa. He has previously worked as an energy and infrastructures consultant for several organizations, including for the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), Adidas AG, and the Nigerian Women Agro-Allied Farmers Association (NIWAAFA).
He is currently finishing his Ph.D in Economic Geography at the University of Bonn. Beforehand, he obtained his Masters degree in Development Economics and International Studies from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, and his Bachelors degree in Economics from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nigeria
